About the DVD

Award-winning Nova Scotian sound designer John Rosborough's first solo documentary is a wide-ranging view of the impact and influence of music on the world of the Salvation Army. Beginning with a tragic Titanic-era shipwreck that claimed 167 Salvation Army musicians, Rosborough follows the thread to musical practitioners from South Africa and Indonesia, revealing that while the instruments and approaches are different, the passion and spirit remain constant.

Salvation Army: Music in their Souls played at the Atlantic Film Festival, Halifax, Canada in September of 2005 and aired on Vision television in November of 2005.
